Taylor Swift: 'I'm not obsessed with myself'

'I Knew You Were Trouble' superstar Taylor Swift has revealed that she avoids reading about herself in the press because it tends to either feed your ego or destroy you.

Speaking to Glamour magazine, the beauty confessed that it's easy to become obsessed with yourself when there's constant reference to you in the media, but she finds it stressful regardless of whether the stories are positive or negative so stays away from it all:

"You can be obsessed with the bad things people say and the good things, either way you're obsessed with yourself and I'm not - you can become unhinged so easily. Vanity can apply to both insecurity and egotism. So I distance myself, because I feel everything. The little I am exposed to hurts my feelings. The only things I can really control are my songs and my behaviour. The rest? If I focused on it that would lead to insanity."

She also recently announced plans to return to the UK and bring her 'Red' tour to Great Britain, confirming that the first date will take place on February 1 at London's O2 Arena. Tickets for these dates are due to go on sale this coming Friday, October 4. Watch Swift's promotional video for her London 'Red' tour dates announcement here:
