Sinitta: 'Simon Cowell helped me through the abortion and was by my side'
Singer Sinitta has given an exclusive interview to Britain's The Sun newspaper about the abortion she claimed to have had 'years ago' after getting pregnant by music mogul Simon Cowell.
She recently took to her official Twitter page and reached out to chat show host Jeremy Kyle, asking for a spot on his show where she could take a lie-detector test to clear up the rumours, but has now revealed all to the tabloid.
Sinitta confessed that Cowell knew about the abortion and was even there to help her through the tough time: People are saying I aborted Simon's baby in 2009 and that he only found out the other day. That's all lies - I'd never do that to him. Reports saying this was something Simon knew nothing about and that I did it behind his back to hurt him, and that he is devastated and is exiling me are vile."
"It was a long time ago when we were both young. Simon was very concerned and by my side."
"I have always admitted I wanted to marry him and have children with him - not just because I love him, but because I thought I would be good for him. I think he thought he didn't want children and he would never want children. And I believed him."
Following the publication of the article, she returned to her social networking page (October 4) and added: "Thank you The Sun for helping me begin to sort through some of the inaccuracies, it's embarrassing and sad, but once in my face needed sorting."
