Britney Spears has hit back at rumours that she will be miming during her upcoming shows in Las Vegas.

The ‘Work Bitch’ star defended herself in a recent radio interview by insisting that she always sings live even if her vocals are not always the best.

Speaking to Chicago’s 103.5 KISS FM, Britney stated: “I’m definitely going to be singing live. I always sing live. It doesn’t sound so great all the time, but I do my best.”

Spears’ string of Las Vegas dates – titled ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ – will begin on December 27 at Planet Hollywood.

The 31-year-old star's manager, Larry Rudolph, has also previously insisted that Britney will be singing live for her ‘Piece of Me’ concerts saying:

“She's going to be singing live. She does choreography and vocal coaching every day. The vocal coaching is really just to strengthen her voice and get her to a point where she can go out there every night and do a full show.”
