Little Mix: 'It's a risk to release 'Move' as a single'

Girl group Little Mix have opened up about their new single, entitled 'Move', and confessed that it took them a stroke of courage to release because it's so "quirky".

The beauties spoke to Digital Spy about the track and songstress Jade Thirlwall explained that it's not what their fans would have typically expected: "It's so quirky and different - I'd definitely say we've gone a bit cooler with this one. I love the structure of it - it's so different that it means you have to listen to it a few times to get your head around it."

Leigh-Anne Pinnock added that it's exciting to push the boundaries as it keeps the audience on their toes as well as challenges them in different ways:

"I don't think we'd be Little Mix if we didn't take a risk. When 'Wings' came out there was nothing else like it at the time - it was something a bit different - and we like doing that. It's about finding our sound and having fun with it."

Thirlwall then admitted that the way this track sounds is a good indication of the direction of their new album, 'Salute': "I think that's what this new album is all about really - widening our fanbase as much as we can. The album is being mixed this week. We were listening to it back and we're just so proud of it. We can't wait to get it out there!"

'Move' will be officially released as a new single on November 3.
