Nelly suggests Miley Cyrus could become the next Madonna

'Just A Dream' hitmaker Nelly has revealed that Miley Cyrus's outspoken nature and bold career choices could see her becoming as iconic as the Queen of Pop

Speaking to Britain's Daily Star newspaper, Nelly explained that there needs to be a 'Madonna of this generation' and the 'Wrecking Ball' beauty has serious potential for the role:

"Miley's a great talent. She's young and ambitious and wants to do it her way. Madonna did it her way, and she became one of the greatest female entertainers of all time. Madonna grew up in the age of no social media. She wasn't under the type of scrutiny Miley's under."

Referring to the former Disney starlet's new resurgence of fame, he admitted that she's still young and coming into her own: "When you're 20 years old and you've been under a machine your whole life and been told what to do, when you get to a certain age you're like: 'I want to do it my way'."

The rapper, who collaborated with Cyrus on the track '4x4' from her new album 'Bangerz', added that she's also very aware of her public image and knows that she's responsible for her actions and decisions: "Whatever mistakes she makes she's gonna have to deal with them. She understands that. You have to stay in people's faces now. You have to be seen all the time, making headlines."
