Singer John Newman has debuted at No.1 on the official midweek albums chart update today (October 16) with his debut offering, 'Tribute'.

Elsewhere on the UK Top 40 albums chart, The Saturdays at at No.6 with 'Living For The Weekend', Lissie's 'Back To Forever' is at No.11, and One Direction's 'Take Me Home' is just clinging on at No.40.

Newman, meanwhile, recently announced details of a headlining UK tour that will take him across the country in January and February next year. His 2014 run will kick off on January 27 at the Southampton Guildhall and is due to come to a close in Norwich on February 11.
