Taylor Swift on Paul Potts movie: 'His incredible story really inspired me'

Earlier this week, Swift's soundtrack contribution to the new Paul Potts movie, entitled 'One Chance', was unveiled and she has now opened up about recording the song for the film.

She wanted to create a track for the big screen retelling of the 'Britain's Got Talent' winner's incredible life story because it's so heartwarming and inspirational.

In a new video clip, Swift can be heard admitting that Potts is a great influence and his motivation for success was so impressive:

"Getting to see the struggles and triumphs of someone who never stopped chasing what he was after really inspired me." Swift added: "It's a beautiful movie and I just wanted to share it with everybody."

She also recently told the BBC that getting her management to agree to the song was tricky and she "had to fight" to be included in the project:

"I had to fight to do this because I try to take a break in between albums and try to give people a minute to not hear me on the radio. I had to go around and ask people, 'Can I please, please put something out?' even though we're supposed to be going quiet. My management, my label were like, 'No new music until the next album comes out'. Then I saw the movie and I was like, 'I have to be a part of this'." Listen to 'Sweeter Than Fiction' in full here:
