Sinitta: 'Jeremy Kyle approached me following my tweets'

Singer Sinitta has confirmed that chat show host Jeremy Kyle did get in touch with her after she reached out to him on social networking site, Twitter.

At the beginning of October, she took to her page on the site and posted a series of messages that explained she once had an abortion after falling pregnant by music mogul Simon Cowell.

Revealing that she was sick of the rumours surrounding the story, she asked Kyle to have her on the show: "Jeremy kyle, I know I declined your celebrity chat, but I'd love to do your show PROVIDED you provide a lie detection device.. #thisHAStoEnd."

Now, Sinitta has confessed to Digital Spy that Kyle asked her to be a guest on his programme, but she decided it wasn't the right thing to do: "Jeremy Kyle did get in touch, yes, but I realised it probably wasn't the place to go."

"I was thinking of getting a lie detector test - 'Did I put that story out there?', 'Was [the abortion] when I was married and had adopted my children?' 'Am I crazy?' I would have passed the lie detector on [all of] that."

"There was so many things that were all wrong that I was like, 'Let's just sit down and do this properly and everyone can go away happy'."
