Ariana Grande had to raise her game on Nathan Sykes duet

Ariana Grande has admitted that she had to re-do some vocals on her recent duet with Nathan Sykes because he performed so well on the track.

The pair teamed up for the song 'Almost Is Never Enough' on Grande's latest album 'Yours Truly' before entering into a relationship together.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the US star praised The Wanted man's vocal ability and suggested that she had to raise her game when in the studio because of her boyfriend's performance. She said:

"Our manager Scooter Braun emailed me and said: 'Check this out'. Nathan killed it. I had to go back in the studio and sing more because he came in and did these vocal gymnastics and took it through the roof."

Grande added: "I was like: 'This is my album, boy'. We didn't even meet until after that. But then we were both at an event and made eye contact and I thought he was really cute."

The pop songstress meanwhile recently lavished praise on her boyfriend, saying:

“I'm so crazy about [Sykes] every single day. He's so incredibly successful, but he's so kind and respectful, so gentlemanly.”
