The Wanted discuss their shelved "cheesy" duet with Justin Bieber

The Wanted have revealed details about a duet they recorded with Justin Bieber that failed to make the cut for their current album ‘Word Of Mouth’.

Speaking about the ill-fated collaboration Jay McGuiness told Heat magazine: “We're sticking to what we know. We did do something with Justin Bieber, and it was good, but we felt like we were being a bit fake.”

McGuiness added: "It sounded cool when he did it, but a little cheesy when we did it. But it's probably got more of an R&B feel."

The ‘Chasing The Sun’ boy band are so happy with their third studio album that they have even admitted to regularly listening to it themselves.

Jay explained: “We had so many demos floating around, so now that we've got the full album we always whack it on.”

Discussing the tone of the album McGuiness said: "It's the classic Wanted party tracks that you're going to want to dance to when you're out. It's been two years [since our last album] and there have been ups and downs personally for a lot of the fellas, so they'll hear the history behind some of the melancholy songs."

Jay’s fellow band mate Max George recently opened up about the drink problem that ended his relationship with actress Michelle Keegan.
