Lea Michele names debut single and announces release date

'Glee' beauty Lea Michele has confirmed that her forthcoming debut single is named 'Cannonball' and was written by none other than 'Titanium' hitmaker Sia Furler.

She shared the highly anticipated news with her Twitter followers very late last night (November 27) and wrote: "I'VE GOT SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE WITH YOU GUYS..... :)"

"So excited for everyone to hear my first single 'Cannonball', off my debut album 'LOUDER'! #CANNONBALL. WRITTEN BY THE AMAZING @sia! #CANNONBALL will be available instantly on Dec 10th with my album preorder!"

Michele also uploaded the single's official artwork, which is comprised of a black and white sultry portrait of herself wearing a revealing black top and showing off her bare legs (pictured below).

Last year, she spoke to Nylon magazine about her intentions for her first album and confessed that she wants the tracklisting to be full of feel-good songs: "I want to make songs where girls can just roll down the windows of their car or dance around in their rooms in their underwear, like, ‘I hate my ex-boyfriend!’ or ‘I’m so in love!’ because that’s what I want (to hear), power-girl songs.”
