The Killers' Ronnie Vannucci: 'I don't want to see perfection when I watch a band live'

Drummer Ronnie Vannucci, of The Killers, has revealed that he isn't intimidated at the prospect of performing live on 'The X Factor' at the show's upcoming final because his band headlined Wembley Stadium earlier this year and it was the scariest thing they've done to date.

Speaking to Britain's Daily Star newspaper about the impending performance, Vannucci explained that nothing will seem as daunting in comparison so he isn't nervous at all:

"That was the most nerve-wracking gig we've ever done. You've always got to make sure everyone is having a good time, so for me it's like flying a 747 up in the air and you've got to keep it there."

He added that what makes a great live set is when the band are exhausted and sweaty after they finish: "I don't want to see a perfect band when I go to a show, with dots of sweat on their shirt. I want to see them looking like they've been shaken by a silver-back gorilla."

He also opened up about his plans for the holidays and joked that he doesn't feel the need to make any new year's resolutions: "I don't know where I'm going to be on Christmas Day, probably in Utah shovelling snow. I'm not making any New Year's resolutions as I'm so damn perfect. Ha ha."
