Ian Watkins could have committed child sex offences abroad, say police

Police believe that Ian Watkins could have committed child sex offences in Holland and the US.

The former Lostprophets singer recently pleaded guilty to a string of charges, including attempting to rape a baby.

The news shocked the world of music and the musician - who was deemed a 'determined and committed paedophile' in court - is due to be sentenced later today (December 18).

However, South Wales Police Det Ch Insp Peter Doyle is now leading an investigation into whether there are more victims.

He said: "The inquiries currently being conducted in Germany and the United States lead me to believe that there are further victims in those countries. At this juncture my belief is that they are child victims."

The 36-year-old singer pleaded guilty to 13 child sex offences in total in November after initially denying all involvement in the charges.
