Justin Bieber's new album 'Journals' has shot to No.2 on the US iTunes chart.

The singer released the collection today (December 23) as he caps off his Music Mondays campaign.

The record features a number of previously heard singles, as well as five new songs.

Despite only being on sale for a matter of hours, the album is second to Beyoncé's new record on the US iTunes chart.

It is No.1 in his native Canada and No.3 in the UK.

Tweeting about its release, Bieber said: "It's all about the music. Complete the #Journals. This music means everything to me." Watch Justin Bieber's 'All That Matters' video below:
