Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke have best selling album and single of 2013 in US

Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke are celebrating after being named the top selling artists in the US of the last year.

The former's comeback record 'The 20/20 Experience' has been named the best-selling album of 2013 in the States.

The latter's smash hit song 'Blurred Lines' meanwhile was the country's top shifting single of the year.

Timberlake sold 2.43 million copies of his album, which was released in March. It was the only record to sell over two million units.

The second biggest selling album was Eminem's 'MMLP2', which sold 1.73 million copies.

'Blurred Lines' meanwhile shifted 6.5 million units to become North America's biggest selling song of 2013.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's 'Thrift Shop' was the second top selling track with sales of 6.15 million.
