Madonna on ageism: 'Am I supposed to I tell my daughter she can't be fierce at 56?'

Earlier this week, Rita Ora thanked Madonna for publicly tackling ageism in the music industry and the Queen of Pop has now responded.

Upon seeing Ora's original message, which reads "thank you for fighting all these ageist battles and paving a way that just maybe one day all of us "younger" artists won't have to in the future," Madonna replied via Instagram and posted the following sentence:

"Thanks Rita! Good to know you appreciate the beating I'm taking so all you ladies don't have to endure this kind of discrimination! #unapolgeticbitches unite! #rebelheart."

The 'Ghosttown' icon then shared a snapshot of her daughter Mercy and accompanied it with the caption: "Shall I tell Mercy that she and her friends cannot be fierce when they are 56? Nope! I am raising #rebelhearts."
