Madonna makes Billboard chart history

Madonna has set an all-time US chart record.

The singer's latest single 'Ghosttown' has topped the Dance Club Songs Chart.

This means that she has now secured 45 No.1s on the Billboard list - the most on a single chart in history.

The Queen of Pop said in a statement: "Thanks to all my fans on and off the dancefloor.

"I'll [always] be your partner."

Madonna bypassed George Strait in the No.1s tally.

The musician has bagged a total of 44 No.1s on the Hot Country Songs list.

Her first No.1 on the Dance chart came via 1983's 'Holiday/Lucky Star'.
