Madonna resumes world tour

Madonna was back on stage last night, less than a week after the stage collapse tragedy in France which killed two technicians.

The 50-year-old pop star cancelled Sunday's show in Marseille in southern France and instead visited the city to meet survivors and one of the widows of the men killed. But last night the mother-of-four resumed her entertainment duties as she delighted fans in Barcelona, Spain.

The singer is currently on her world 'Sticky & Sweet Tour', and performed her hits to a packed crowd at the Lluis Companys stadium. Her sell-out concert in Marseille was cancelled following Thursday's tragedy so she could 'show solidarity' with victims.

British technician Charles Prow, 23,  from Leeds, lost his life along with Frenchman Charles Criscenzo, 53, who were killed when a giant roof fell on top of them from 50ft.

Madonna said to fans in Italy, where she learned of the tragedy, "Let's all just take a moment to say a prayer for Charles Criscenzo and Charlie Prow. Our hearts go out to their family and loved ones."
