Madonna has taken a jibe at Lady Gaga after joking that she helped write her hit 'Born This Way'.

The track has often been likened to Madonna's 'Express Yourself', with Lady Gaga denying that her song was based on the Queen of Pop's track.

Madonna meanwhile has been making reference to 'Born This Way' on her 2012 MDNA world tour, mixing together the song with 'Express Yourself'.

Speaking on Brazilian TV, Madonna quipped that she helped write 'Born This Way', saying: "I'm a really big fan of ['Born This Way']. I'm glad that I helped GaGa write it."
