Madonna booed after championing Obama at New Orleans show

Madonna was booed by some of her own fans last night after she championed Barack Obama during her show at the New Orleans Arena.

The Queen of Pop, currently in the midst of her 'MDNA tour,' also triggered a walkout by several gig-goers after she pledged her support for the President in the upcoming US election.

She told the crowd: "Who's registered to vote? I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama."

After some of the audience voiced their disapproval of her political stance, she then added:

"Seriously, I don't care who you vote for ... Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."

The 54-year-old had also previously backed Obama by showing off a painted tattoo of his name on her back during a gig in New York last month.
