Matinee announce Sept Live Dates


Stowmarket & Liverpool shows

Matinée deal in slices of delicious hypercolour indie pop. 

The bands current single Empty was supported nationally by Radio X and is produced by Billboard topping producer Tony Doogan and Chris Geddes from Belle and Sebastian. The song about spiritualism, religion and the loss of faith. The video to support the single was selected for UK wide Topman video jukebox retail store screens. 

The band also play the following live dates :

Sep 1 –John Peel Centre, Stowmarket, Suffolk

Sep 2 – Zanzibar, Liverpool 

A busy 12 months for the photogenic Italian indie foursome has seen them work with acclaimed Glasgow producer Miaoux Miaoux (Julian Corrie) on their late 2015 single. The track was named Track of the Day on Gig Slutz and the bands previous video was also selected for UK wide video promotion via the in store video Jukebox’s at Topman and Timberland retail stores. 

A clutch of radio support has been secured over 2015 as well as numerous festival places including Spilla. High profile supporters included the old XFM (played single on Danielle Perry’s show, XFM Scotland) The band also featured in Loaded Magazine and the band were added to the Rockaway Beach line up as well as being invited to support Belle & Sebastian in Italy. The new single is already confirmed for Radio X play on April 30th 

The highest profile fan is arguably Carl Barat, saying about them "A accomplished Italian answer to the indie music of the Naughties, focussing on all the best bits, Ferdinand, Cribs, Coral et al… Boss." They have also been described by Chris Geddes from Belle and Sebastian as “Anthemic indie rock with electronic flourishes. Hints of Franz Ferdinand and the Britpop era abound".
