The first Musicport On The Moors Festival line-up is now complete.

With 3 weeks left to go until the first Musicport On The Moors Festival the line-up is now complete.

With the Satteli Sisters (Switzerland) & Avital Raz the Jerusalem-born singer from Sheffield’s Rafiki Jazz completing the line-up  for this 4 day event which promises a diverse variety of music coupled with inclusive workshops,  great food & drink all based at  a great new venue  in the beautiful setting of the historic village of Goathland with its steam railway,  wide vistas  and “Heartbeat” connection.

Organiser Jim McLaughlin said “We’re delighted with the  festival line-up and  the support of North York Moors National Park  which has recently been negotiated.  We believe that  with The Old Reading Room as a local base this will be the start of d something of great cultural value to the area which can grow and develop in years to come.  To get an act of the standing of Anna & Elizabeth to a first event is a real coup but we think there will be many other memorable things happening over that weekend  that people will recall in years to come “

Tickets  can be bought here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/musicport-2577213086 or by phoning 01947 603475
There will be tickets available on the door for individual events/ workshops  although these will be limited due to small capacity of venues,

Musicport have recently taken on the Old Reading Room in Goathland which will act as the festival office over the weekend & will thereafter become an affordable gallery/workshop space for local groups/artists & run by Musicport .

The weekend prior to the festival on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th April (Midday-5pm  both days) the official opening of The Old Reading Room, Goathland will take place with an exhibition of local artists work and a sale of CDs & collectable vinyl in support of the restoration of this historic building which was so long at the very heart of village life.

There will be the chance to buy tickets for the festival & other Musicport events (with a special local residents discount).
There will also be a prize raffle, refreshments & the first chance to get a copy of the complete detailed festival programme.
