Wild Roses (Out Sep 21) is the brand new single from Russian born, London based composer Monelise. A radio friendly mix of classically inspired soundscapes, the single blurs the boundaries between classical and contemporary pop. Monelise’s debut single The Flood was playlisted by numerous UK radio shows and the video has been selected for in store screens in the Topshop chain around the UK. An artist in whose haunting compositions classically inspired soundscapes are situated into 21st century tone poems. Her music blurs the boundaries between classical and contemporary; lyric and poetry; reality and dream. Having toured over 20 street pianos and travelled to Iceland to make an elemental music video, "The Flood", in 2017, she is currently completing her Masters Degree in Popular Music at Goldsmiths University and performing at some of London's "best kept secret" venues. Originally from St Petersburg (Russia) but having lived in Russia, Luxembourg, Houston TX and Edinburgh, you could say Monelise is worldy wise! With four performance at the Edinburgh Fringe, her music influences include Kate Bush, Bjork, Michael Nyman and Yann Tiersen. Links: @monelisemusic
