Mariah Carey on her docu-series: 'Not everyone knows me and this will be different'

Music icon Mariah Carey has opened up about her exciting docu-series that will air later this year

Speaking to On Air with Ryan earlier today (June 6), the 'We Belong Together' sensation explained that the series, entitled 'Mariah's World', was really fun to put together and includes a lot of BTS footage that fans otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to see:

"It's like all the preparation for that and the behind-the-scenes [drama] of what it took to put that together and to pull off in such a short period of time."

Carey added: "It's a lot of hi-jinx and stuff, but I think it's going to be good. Not everybody knows my personality -- my fans do, my lambs do -- but not everybody knows me and so this is going to be something different for people to see."

As previously reported, the series will air on E! Entertainment and will be made up from eight one-hour episodes.
