Mariah Carey's album cancelled

Mariah Carey's new LP has been cancelled.

Carey's 13th studio album and second remix album, titled 'Angels Advocate', was originally slated for a UK release on April 26. A statement on Mariah Journal said: "[We are] able to confirm that the 'Angels Advocate' album, a Remixed edition of 'Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel' will not be released."

The album is not likely to be put out in the regular album fashion but some singles off the album may be released, and a Christmas album is being considered.

Carey's last Christmas album, 'Merry Christmas', was released in 1994, and spawned the number two hit 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'. Since the inclusion of downloads in the UK singles chart from 2007, the song has re-charted within the Top 20 each year.
