'American Idol' judge and vocal sensation Mariah Carey has admitted that she wants to release her brand new album "ASAP".

During a new interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, the 'Obsessed' hitmaker explained that she's currently working on the follow-up to 2009's 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel' and hopes it will be unveiled in the near future: "I'm really working hard."

When asked if fellow 'American Idol' panelist Randy Jackson knows anything about her new material, she joked: "Randy, he hasn't even been in the studio in, like, months to hear what I have."

"He doesn't know every detail of this because I've been working with a bunch of people in secret locations."
