Mariah Carey endured an embarrassing start to the day on live TV after her dress popped out.

The singer appeared on Good Morning America today (May 24) to perform live in New York, but a segment with the show's host didn't quite go to plan.

Whilst speaking, the back of Carey's dress unbuckled - it is unclear, meanwhile, whether or the vocal star said "sh*t" or "shoot" when the incident happened.

The singer's aides came on to the stage to help fix the dress - but it took so long that Good Morning America had to go to a break.

After the dress came loose, Carey was heard saying: "I love you Donatella, but it popped darling."
