Mark Ronson on music industry fears: 'I'm past my sell-by date'

Music superstar and producer Mark Ronson, who turns 40 next week, has revealed that he worries that he is 'past his sell-by date'.

During a new interview with the New York Daily News, the 'Uptown Funk' sensation confessed that he often feels 'past it' in the pop music world, but recognises that some of the most popular acts at the moment are older: "I'm so far past my sell-by date of what pop music is supposed to be. But, if you look at it, Pharrell and Daft Punk are around that age. So maybe there's something to be said for experience."

Ronson, meanwhile, recently confirmed that despite spending some studio time with Lana Del Rey over the last few months he won't actually appear on her new album 'Honeymoon':

"I hate to crap all over your excitement, but we just worked a couple [of] days together and I think she's amazing, but we didn't actually end up doing anything for her album. I said it and I shouldn't have opened my big mouth, but I love that track 'Honeymoon' and the stuff I've heard from the record is great."
