Mark Ronson: 'Amy Winehouse's table scraps are better than most people's albums'

On the second anniversary of Amy Winehouse's untimely death, her friend and producer Mark Ronson has opened up about unreleased music she made before she passed away.

The vocal superstar died on July 23, 2011 from accidental alcohol poisoning and Ronson told BBC Radio 1 that while he doesn't know if there will be any new releases coming from her team, she did leave behind some unheard material that is fantastic:

"I know it's very hard to maintain any kind of objectivity because so many people loved her. There's so many people that would love to hear the table scraps of what she left because it was so good that it was better than most people's albums."

Referring to any of Winehouse's projects that might be shared with the public in the future, Ronson added: "If it's something she finished that [producer] Salaam [Remi] and her worked on, that Salaam knows she's happy with, then that's cool."

Winehouse's father, Mitch, took to his official Twitter page today to thank her fans for remembering her on the anniversary: "Thank you for all of your wonderful messages of love and support. Your love makes Amy's loss more bearable. Meanwhile, we continue Amy's great work of helping disadvantaged young people. Amy will live in all of our hearts forever. Mitch."
