Paisley Parc are back with another energetic indie-rock release of the year ‘LOST’ on the 19th November 2021. Having grown up in a small working class town in South Wales the five piece have always made the best of their limited opportunities in the music arena yet this track comes off the back of two already successful releases this year. Their last singles ‘CD’ and ‘This Way’ are now into the tens of thousands of listeners worldwide and have achieved success across a multitude of international and regional press & radio stations.
The concept behind ‘LOST’ is the story of a younger boy who is allured by an older woman or a ‘cougar’, quickly realising he’s out of his depth, regretting it all and feeling lost. The inspiration for the track is based around the classic 1960s film ‘The Graduate’ which follows much of the same story line and features the infamous ‘Mrs Robinson’. The song captures the signature Paisley Parc sound, littered with crunchy riffs and clever, catchy vocal melodies from lead singer Jack; all tied together with heavy backbeat drumming makes for a hard hitting single.
Complete with a fantastic live video which shows a buzzing hometown of dedicated local fans drenched in red strobes, ‘LOST’ is a high powered, standout track which hooks you in and spits you out. It is the last release before the band put out their 7 track EP ‘Long Time Coming’, and the title of the record speaks for itself as it’s been long awaited by both the band and fans alike.
Echoing the classic Rock n Roll attitude of their major influences such as Kings of Leon & Oasis the band state “Our selling point is simple – We write great songs that connect with young people the world over and we will continue to do so until we reach our goal of being THE biggest band to come out of Wales and take the world by storm.” And once you’ve heard ‘LOST’ you’ll find it hard to doubt that this is a perfectly attainable goal for Paisley Parc.
With a cleverly animated lyric video also in the mix for the release and a series of Campaigns planned for 2022 which will be produced by Grammy nominated Romesh Dodangoda.
