THE ORIGINAL RUDEBOYS announce two Christmas shows at The Academy
The Original Rudeboys are to finish 2012 at The Academy with two shows on Saturday 22nd December. Tickets are on sale now.
The Original Rudeboys had an extraordinary first year, breaking out of nowhere in March 2011 as a quartet of cool YouTube clips propelled them to cult status among Irish teens. Viewing figures on their YouTube channel are now well in excess of 1 Million, not bad for a band who didn't release a record until November of last year.
The band's debut single – 'Stars In My Eyes' – peaked at # 2 on iTunes, and earned them new fans both online and in the media. On the live scene, the band go from strength to strength. Their second single Travelling Man went straight to # 1 on iTunes.
Their debut album This Life produced by Ed Sheeran’s wizard Jake Gosling went to #3 in the album charts.
New single ‘Written Songs (Feeling Good)’ has been completely reworked from the album by Ash Howes (The Saturdays, Marina & The Diamonds, Ellie Goulding) into a sing-along summer smash. It went straight in at #2 on iTunes on its release on 20th July. The video for the single has already had over 25,000 views on You Tube since it went live 3 days ago.
