Mick Hucknall sings American Soul
Live at The Olympia Theatre, April 2013
**Tickets on sale this Friday at 9am**
Mick Hucknall announces his first Irish and UK solo tour ‘American Soul’ in April 2013. This hails the beginning of a new chapter for ex-Simply Red frontman Hucknall after the final curtain fell on Simply Red at their triumphant sell-out Farewell Tour in December 2010.
The tour includes an intimate date at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on April 9th. Tickets from €33.50 inclusive of booking fee are on sale this Friday at 9am from Ticketmaster outlets and online at www.ticketmaster.ie
On what promises to be a series of very special and intimate nights in Hucknall’s glittering career, he will showcase his forthcoming new solo album ‘American Soul’, featuring his own take on classic songs which have inspired him throughout his life.
This full tour announcement follows great demand for tickets to the preview shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London on September 18th (SOLD OUT) and September 18th 2012.
Mick is renowned for his great interpretations of others’ songs, having already had global hits with Money’s Too Tight To Mention, If You Don’t Know Me By Now and You Make Me Feel Brand New. The start of Hucknall’s solo career gives him free rein to record, together on one album, his favourites from his own personal journey through the American soul genre including classics songs such as I Only Have Eyes For You, I’d Rather Go Blind and That’s How Strong My Love Is.
