Melanie C has admitted she would love the Spice Girls musical to be as big as We Will Rock You.

The 38-year-old, who recently reunited with the rest of her bandmates to launch the Jennifer Saunders-penned Viva Forever!, told OK! magazine that Queen’s West End hit has set the benchmark for how successful a jukebox musical can be:

“A band like Queen have such a huge international fan base - that musical has done so well.

"We're so excited about having our own songs brought to life every night on a West End stage, we'd love it to go to Broadway and different theatres around the world."

The ‘Never Be The Same Again’ singer, who last night made her talent show judging debut on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Superstar, also went on to claim that the appreciation she gets from fans is one of the best things about being famous:

“It's really lovely when you get positive comments from people, when they're happy to meet you and have photographs with you."
