Spice Girls members Melanie C and Emma Bunton will come together next weekend for a special performance at the Christmas lights switch on event in London. 

The pair will treat the audience to a live rendition of the girlband's well-loved hit single '2 Become 1' at Regent Street on Saturday, November 9. 

A tweet shared by Regent Street's official page confirmed the exciting news: "@EmmaBunton & @MelanieCmusic are back on stage together once again at the #RegentStreet #ChristmasLights. Excited?"

Other performers confirmed for the festive celebration include Leona Lewis, Eliza Doolittle and Passenger. 

Earlier in October, Bunton told fans of the Spice Girls that she thinks a reunion is on the cards for the future and explained that she would get back together with the other members if the opportunity presented itself:

"I'd love to do something like that again. That's the thing with us, we do love working together. But it's very difficult now being so busy. But I think when the right opportunity comes up then we will go, 'Right, lets work this out.' But I don't know when this will be or if it will be but I love working with them."
