London 23rd January 2020: Goo Goo Dolls today launched a new video for “Lost”. “The song reminds me that we all make mistakes and lose the plot of our own stories sometimes” explains singer John Rzeznik. “We get distracted with the cheap, shiny, sights and sounds of a world in disarray but ultimately, we find where we need to be if we keep our eyes open for what really matters.”
The video was shot by director Joelle Grace Taylor who said “When I was asked to shoot the video for “Lost” I wanted to film it from the perspective of one single character, Madolyn. To me, the song is about learning to trust yourself and embracing parts of you that may have been missing. I drew inspiration from my own past as well as the star of the video, Madolyn Ropell. The lyrics really hit close to home with past experiences of broken relationships, whether it be romantic / family / friends. By following Madolyn on her journey of self-discovery, I wanted to show that it isn’t easy to let yourself get lost but it’s worth it when you gain total freedom to find yourself. I hope viewers will connect with the character in the video and be inspired to live a life unafraid. It’s not easy to change and grow; you will cry, you will laugh, you will doubt yourself and love yourself and it’ll all be worth it.”
The track is taken from their 12th studio album “Miracle Pill” and was described as “Potentially the biggest Dolls album released to date” by Planet Rock while Classic Rock thought that “Goo Goo Dolls are having an Indian Summer. Good work indeed.” Pop Matters went even further to say “While their contemporaries are usually satisfied with touring their hits and avoiding new music, Rzeznik and Takac continue to push the envelope, evolve their sound and release vital new music –Miracle Pill, is easily a high-water mark of the band's career.”
The band are about to embark on a UK tour kicking off in Glasgow on February 19th and includes a show at London’s Roundhouse on February 27th. Rzeznik said “I love playing the UK, the audiences are amazing. We always have a blast so it’s a real pleasure to be coming back”

Their music has been covered by everyone from Taylor Swift to Leona Lewis. Among many accolades, John received the prestigious “Hal David Starlight Award” in 2008 as well.
Following a sold-out 2018 twentieth anniversary tour in celebration of Dizzy Up The Girl, Goo Goo Dolls wrote and recorded their twelfth full-length album, Miracle Pill, which arrived September 13th, 2019 via Warner Records. Led by the hit single and title track “Miracle Pill”, the record has kicked off a bold and bright new era for the band.
