28th August 2020 – Today, Evanescence launch the video for “Use My Voice,” their new single that “captures the current socio-political zeitgeist of advocacy and activism” (MTV). The visuals follow frontwoman Amy Lee, her bandmates, and a diverse group of citizens as they unite for change and justice.

The video for “Use My Voice,” was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Eric Howell. Lee first met Howell back in 2015 when she was asked to write the end title theme for his film, ‘Voice From The Stone’, starring Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones).

Beginning with Amy alone in the dark and ending in a collective light-filled demonstration as the day breaks, the video serves as a hopeful metaphor of moving from darkness into a more illuminated future by being heard.

Earlier this month, Evanescence partnered with HeadCount, one of the leading non-partisan, non-profit voter information services in the US to help people navigate the registration and voting process by providing information on options to vote safely during COVID.

Earlier this week Amy spoke to CBS This Morning’s Anthony Mason about HeadCount, “Use My Voice,” and the process of collaborating with some very special guest vocalists: Lzzy Hale (also featured in the video), Taylor Momsen, Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation), Deena Jakoub (VERIDIA), Lindsey Stirling, and more.

“We are proud to stand up and join the fight against the injustice, lies and oppression that plague our country and the world. No matter who you are, what you look like, where you come from or who you love, your voice matters. We hope to shine a light in the darkness, to empower and inspire. Use your voice. Vote.” - Amy Lee

"Use My Voice" follows "Wasted on You" and "The Game is Over" as the third song and video to be released from The Bitter Truth, Evanescence's forthcoming new album which is the first to contain all new material in nearly a decade. The self-shot while-in-quarantine video for "Wasted on You" was recently nominated for "Best Rock" at the forthcoming MTV Video Music Awards and has been lauded by Elle, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, BBC, Kerrang, Marie Claire, and Metal Hammer amongst others. The Bitter Truth promises fans more of the heavy, vocal-driven, and expertly-arranged rock for which Evanescence is known.
