EVANESCENCE SET TO RELEASE NEW FREE MOBILE BACKSTAGE APP ON JUNE 11th 2012

Grammy award winning rock band Evanescence are excited to announce that they have set up their first Mobile Backstage App which will be available on June 11th 2012.   This fan club App will be free, and available globally.  Evanescence have always had a particularly close connection with their fans, and this App will allow this releationship to blossom even further. “Our fans are absolutely wonderful! It’s so great to have their support and see them grow with us,” said co-founder and lead singer Amy Lee. “And it’s really important for us to stay in touch with them and to hear what they think. This is why we decided to create this interactive fan club for our most loyal fans where they will be able to connect with us and each other.”    
 
The App will be available on  iOS, Android and Nokia; plus a Facebook version for those without a compatible device.
 
Evanescence are currently playing sold out shows in Europe following the release of their self–titled album. It topped the Billboard album charts in the US, made the No 2 spot in Canada, and reached No. 4 in the UK – where it is now almost GOLD – quite a feat in these sales-challenged times! This is the second time the multi-platinum and Grammy award winning rock band have topped the US chart. The band previously reached this spot with their sophomore release, 2006’s ‘The Open Door’.
