Sub Focus - Tidal Wave (KillSonik remix)

Sub Focus, aka Nick Douwma has long been one of electronic music’s most talked about names and he returns with a brand new single with the working titleTidal Wave, featuring UK rock duo Alpines. Tidal Wave looks set to propel Sub Focus into the mainstream and is the second single to be released from his highly anticipated sophomore album set for release early 2013 on Mercury / Ram Records.

Having spent 2011 smashing huge arenas and festivals alike with his live show, supporting Pendulum live on tour as well as completing his own headline live tour, Sub Focus shows no sign of slowing down. Already a fan of breaking through boundaries and exploring new technology in his music, early 2012 saw Nick throw out the rule book when he completely reinvented his live production to include ground breaking circular LED technology. Sub Focus has since sold out Brixton Academy with this live production as he headlined the huge UKF Bass Culture festival, smashed Lovebox and wowed the masses headlining stages at Coachella, Global Gathering and Ultra Music Festival in Miami to name a few. Next up, he will hit V Festival and Creamfields in August and then Bestival in September. With his heavily acclaimed and visceral live show wowing festival goers and music fans the world over, Sub Focus live is definitely one not to be missed.

The last release from Sub Focus was the summer anthem Out The Blue that was Nick’s first chart breakthrough from the new album, charting at #23. Preceding that was Falling Down, a free download available from his website which has seen over 100,000 downloads and tremendous support from Radio 1 gathering over 71 plays to date – a feat usually reserved for the likes of Rihanna!

Nick Douwma's rise through the ranks of underground drum & bass to become a major player in electronic music has been nothing short of spectacular. Initially known for air-punching, dancefloor dismantling drum & bass smashes such as ‘Timewarp’ and the legendary ‘Rock It’, Sub Focus has now become synonymous with music that draws from all corners of the electronic landscape epitomising the bench mark of cutting edge talent in todays flourishing electronic music scene.
