Miley Cyrus postpones two European dates as illness returns

Miley Cyrus has been forced into postponing two European tour dates after her recent bout of illness reared its head again.

The singer was struck down by a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics recently and she had to postpone a number of US Bangerz tour dates as a result.

She is due to take the tour to Europe in May, but it has now been confirmed that her first two dates in the continent have been put back.

Her May 2 gig in Amsterdam and a show in Antwerp on May 4 have been delayed to June 22 and 20 respectively.

A statement reads: "Cyrus is continuing to recover from the severe allergic reaction she suffered on April 15. After a period of improvement, Cyrus' symptoms have returned and doctor's will not permit her to travel. Cyrus must remain under Doctor's care at this time. The London date at O2 Arena will proceed as planned on May 6th."

The news was earlier hinted at by a sullen Cyrus on Twitter, who suggested that her illness had returned.
