Miley Cyrus denies she had a drug overdose

Miley Cyrus has dismissed claims that she suffered a drug overdose last month.

The singer spent much of April sidelined in hospital after suffering a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.

However, some eager minds speculated that the 'We Can't Stop' star had actually suffered a drug overdose.

Speaking at a press conference before her O2 Arena show in London on Tuesday (May 6), Cyrus said:

"I'm feeling good, I'm alive, so that's f*****g awesome. Look at me, I'm the poster child for good health. I've been laying down for three weeks. I'm gonna go off - I'm like a star waiting to explode. I didn't have a drug overdose. I took some s****y antibiotic my doctor gave me and I had an allergic reaction.

"I already had a death in my family so my immune system was already low."

Cyrus meanwhile has today (May 7) been confirmed to perform at this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium on June 21.
