Miley Cyrus has had to deny Twitter gossip that she is "anorexic" after tweeting that she couldn't eat fast food.

The music and film star had posted a photo of herself with a bag of fast food with the words:

"I can't eat it. So I'm just gonna smell the sh*ttttt out of it! My mouth is LITERALLY watering."

This led to some people with overactive imaginations suggesting that she is suffering from eating problems - before Cyrus moved to dismiss the gossip, stating that she couldn't eat it because she has a gluten allergy. She said:

"For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not about weight it's about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!"

She then tweeted a fan about the benefits of going gluten-free. She said: "Everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, phyisical and mental health is amazing! U won't go back!"
