Miley Cyrus got more than she was expecting when she went shopping recently - a new dog.

The singer posted on Twitter yesterday (May 2) photos of her new friend Happy, who she said had been left in a box outside Walmart.

The dog, looking somewhat adorable, was then seen adapting to his new life in the lap of luxury.

Cyrus posted a photo of herself being "groomed" whilst Happy looked on in a probable confused yet content state.

Speaking about how she came across Happy, Cyrus said:

"He was left in a box Infront of Walmart. I don't understand how people can be so cruel. That's why we named him Happy."

Happy was also seen snuggling up in his new home and also gaining a new "girlfriend" too.
