Former Disney starlet Miley Cyrus is engaged to her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

The 19-year-old singer and actress has been dating her 22-year-old movie star boyfriend since 2009 when they met on the set of 'The Last Song', in which they both appeared, and she confirmed that Hemsworth popped the question on May 31, telling People magazine:

"I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam."

On June 1, Cyrus tweeted that "heaven is a place on earth" and she returned to the social networking site earlier today (June 6) and told her followers "life is beautiful".

She also recently opened up about the powers of love-making in an interview with The Conversation and told Amanda DeCadenet "sex actually is really beautiful".
