The parents of Miley Cyrus have shown their approval of their daughter's engagement.

The singer yesterday (June 6) announced that she and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth are now engaged.

And it seems like the parents are happy about the good news too, with father Billy Ray Cyrus taking to Twitter to share the joy. He tweeted:

"All I ever hoped for as a Daddy was to see my kids reach their dreams. To find happiness...peace of mind...and someday know...true love."

Miley's mother meanwhile tweeted: "Wow! All of the LOVE pouring out for Miley and Liam is incredible! So happy for my precious baby girl and the love of her life!"
