Former Disney starlet Miley Cyrus has confessed that she hated having long hair extensions and will never go back now that she has a cropped cut.

Speaking to E! News about her dramatic makeover, the 'Can't Be Tamed' beauty explained that having faux hair 'sewn into' her head (shown below) wasn't an enjoyable experience and she much prefers the freedom that comes with having such an easy to manage new look:

"I hated the extensions -- hair that's sewn into your head. It's creepy. You will never see me with long hair again," she added that it also "looks better grungy and not washing it."

When asked what her fiancé, actor Liam Hemsworth, thinks of her current style, Cyrus said: "My fiance [Liam Hemsworth] loves it. It's so much easier to go shave the sides once a week rather than getting your roots done when you have long hair. I feel like when you have short hair, the messier it is, the better it looks."

"It's so weird seeing [pictures of] me and my long hair. I do not like it. I wish someone would have ripped them out of my head because the extension thing is just so not cute! I hate it."
