Miley Cyrus's new video has become the quickest clip to reach 100 million views on VEVO.

The US singer recently unleashed the promo video for her single 'Wrecking Ball' and its focus on nudity gained a lot of interest.

Cyrus confirmed on Twitter on Sunday (September 15) that she broke her own 37-day record after 'Wrecking Ball' hit the 100m milestone.

It only took the video a staggering six days to reach VEVO Certified status. The singer said on Twitter:

"Wrecking Ball broke the record! #100million #certified GO CELEBRATE TONIGHT #SMILERZ I love you more than anything in the world."

Cyrus's recent effort 'We Can't Stop' was the previous holder of the 100m record, whilst Eminem's 'Love The Way You Live' held the honour before that.
