Miley Cyrus: "Success is the best form of revenge"

Miley Cyrus has been warding off her critics with her positive attitude.

During an interview with French radio station NRJ she made it known that she does not plan to change her image to appease her detractors.

Miley defiantly stated: “I feel like the best way of fighting my haters is just keep letting them do what they do and don't let them faze you, just keep doing what you do.”

She added: “Success is the best form of revenge.”

Cyrus hopes that her own outlook on life will set a positive example for her fans as she explained:

“I'm on such a platform where I can speak to so many people and I think it's important to send a message to my audience, and say be who you are, do what you do, be who you wanna be, live your life and don't worry about what people have to say about it.”

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer also discussed her past encounters with some of the world’s most powerful figures.

On meeting the Queen of England and taking part in the Royal Variety Performance back in 2009, Cyrus said:

“Actually meeting her was scarier than the performance because I had to remember so much.”

The 20-year-old star also recounted performing at a Kids' Inaugural concert in honour of Barack Obama:

“It was kind of insane for me when I had to perform for the president. That was kind of crazy… Obama is the coolest person ever. He represents our country well and what we should be representing, something new and freedom and being capable of anything you want to do. That was one of the coolest things I've gotten to do.”
