Miley Cyrus on Liam Hemsworth split: 'I'm the happiest I've ever been and that's not a dig'

Pop superstar and former Disney actress Miley Cyrus has finally broken her silence over her recent split from fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

During a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the 'Wrecking Ball' beauty explained that she is already moving on and feels as though she's finally in a good place:

"I think people spend more time actually thinking about it then I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That's kind of where I am right now. I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn't really been focused on that."

Cyrus added that she's not wasting energy by dwelling on the break down of her engagement and instead is putting her emotions and time into her music, which is making her very happy:

"I want to be really clear and determined with everything I'm doing in my life right now, and I have been. I keep saying I'm the happiest I've ever been and that's not even a dig. That's just me, because I really am genuinely happy finally with myself, which I think sometimes it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are. I've never been able to just be alone, and I'm obsessed with being alone and like hearing my thoughts."
