Miley Cyrus covers Lana Del Rey's 'Summertime Sadness'

Miley Cyrus has put own her spin on Lana Dey Rey's 'Summertime Sadness'.

The US star performed a cover of the track for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge series today (November 12).

The song originally featured on Del Rey's major label debut 'Born To Die', which was released in 2012.

Cyrus also performed her smash hit track 'Wrecking Ball' in a stripped-back format.

Her 'Summertime Sadness' cover was generally received warmly by fans, with one Twitter user commenting:

"Wtf miley covered summertime sadness do well."

Another Twitter devotee meanwhile said: "Miley's cover of Summertime Sadness is flawless, I'm in heaven wut."

Cyrus performed off the back of her award-winning appearance at the MTV EMAs on Sunday (November 10) - although her prizes were somewhat overshadowed by the singer lighting up what looked like a joint on stage at the Amsterdam event.

She picked up the Best Video award for 'Wrecking Ball' and the Best United States Act prize.
