Miley Cyrus takes vocal rest after receiving X Factor criticism

Miley Cyrus is resting her vocals after performing on the UK X Factor last night (November 17).

The singer appeared on the reality TV show to perform her song 'Wrecking Ball', but it was widely criticised online.

Some people questioned Cyrus's vocals and also her set design, which saw the singer set on top of a massive sand dune.

Taking to Twitter, the US star suggested that she has been feeling ill, saying after her slot:

"Happy to get some rest. Time to go be sicky."

She later added: "Damned if you do damned if you don't."

Cyrus then confirmed that she is now taking vocal rest.

As previously reported, the 'We Can't Stop' lady has confirmed that she will bring her Bangerz tour to the UK next year.

She is due to kick off a lengthy North America run on February 14, with no European dates yet announced.
